REZNOR Waste Oil Heaters:
A Quick History
Early Reznor heater

Since George Reznor invented the reflector type gas heater in 1888, Reznor has set the standard for gas, fuel oil, electric, hydronic, infrared, makeup air heating systems, and now waste oil heaters.

The idea of using waste oil as a heating fuel is not new. But waste oil is a dirty and inconsistent fuel that is difficult to burn. In the past, waste oil heaters required daily cleaning, and were unreliable. Still, spurred by the cost savings, they sold briskly.

Recently, several companies tried to make reliable waste oil heaters by incorporating manual oil and air pressure controls. The controls, which compensate for oils of varying viscosity, require continual checking and adjustment to set the rate of firing. Owners of these heaters save money on fuel but lose time tending the furnace. Truly efficient waste oil heaters haven't been available — until now.

Reznor engineers developed a patented flow control pump that finally solves the problem. The Reznor pump automatically delivers the correct amount of oil, assuring complete combustion, regardless of viscosity. The system completely eliminates manual user adjustments for everything from #2 fuel oil through 50-weight waste oil. It is unique to the Reznor family of waste oil heaters.

Once again Reznor makes history. This time it's with waste oil heaters that set new standards for reliable, trouble-free service.
