COMBUSTION CHAMBER/HEAT EXCHANGER ASSEMBLY

Reznor's combustion chamber/heat exchanger

In the Reznor Waste Oil Heater, the combustion chamber is located above the heat exchanger. This creates a downward draft that counteracts the natural tendency of flame to rise and maintains even temperatures throughout the combustion chamber, preventing thermal stress and cracking. This unique design, with its completely stable flame, is one reason why Reznor can afford to offer the industry's longest warranty — 10 years — on its Waste Oil Heaters.

A — All flames have a natural tendency to rise.
B — The design of the Reznor Waste Oil Heater forces a downward draft.
C — The result is a horizontal flame and even temperature on the chamber walls.

Diagram of combustion in Reznor Waste Oil combustion chamber

The Reznor Waste Oil Heater has been designed both for long life and easy maintenace. Although waste oil burns inherently clean, ash residue nevertheless collects in the combustion chamber and heat exchanger. To make it easy to remove the ash periodically, Reznor has designed the chamber for quick access. [Back to MENU]

DUCTABLE

Reznor Waste Oil Heater outfitted with ductwork and a blower

Reznor Waste Oil Heaters are ideal for space heating in an open garage or workshop area. Used with the optional blower, the heater can also be used to duct heat to remote parts of a building. [Back to MENU]

REMOTE FLOW CONTROL PUMP

Reznor remote flow control pump

The patented flow control pump provides the reliable operation that distinguishes Reznor Waste Oil Heaters. No matter what kind of fuel the heater is burning — #2 fuel oil or any combination of waste oils up to 50 weight — the pump automatically delivers a constant flow of the right amount of oil to the burner. This eliminates the continual adjustments that have to be made with other types of waste oil heaters. [Back to MENU]

ELAPSED-TIME COUNTER

Reznor's built-in elapsed-time counter

To maintain maximum efficiency, the heat exchanger and the combustion chamber need periodic cleaning. To help schedule cleanings, the Reznor Waste Oil heater automatically tracks the hours of operation with a built-in elapsed-time counter. [Back to MENU]

PRE-HEATING SYSTEM

Reznor oil preheating assembly

For complete combustion, waste oil needs to be warmed before it is atomized. The oil warming assembly is a large aluminum cylinder located outside the burner for easy access. It warms the oil slowly to prevent overheating and clogging. The unit can be easily disassembled for thorough cleaning. [Back to MENU]

THERMALLY BALANCED NOZZLE

Reznor's patented thermally balanced nozzle

Reznor's patented thermally balanced nozzle line maintains the temperature of the oil on its way to the nozzle, enabling immediate ignition whenever there is a call for heat. The design of the patented oil-warming device eliminates the problem of nozzle after-drip — typical of other waste oil heaters — which can cause carbon build-up. [Back to MENU]

ON-BOARD AIR COMPRESSOR

Reznor's quiet, on-board air compressor.

To burn waste oil efficiently, it needs to be atomized by the injection of primary combustion air. The Reznor Waste Oil Heater has a built-in air compressor on the burner assembly. It provides a reliable, self-sufficient, and quiet source of air. This eliminates the combustion problems commonly found with waste oil heaters that use shop air or auxiliary air compressors.
